    Apparently it is metal

    I found this quote

M3 is an exciting new space age material that is just now being recognized for its remarkable beauty, strength and futuristic properties. Millions of dollars have been spent perfecting this material for the aerospace, medical, marine, architectural and other industries. The skin of the Space Shuttle, the Stealth Bomber and the International Space Station all contain examples of this remarkable new material. It is electronically depleted so that it will not conduct electricity or promote electrolysis allowing for new metal alloys that are just not possible in nature.
    on this web site

looks kinda interesting...Look forward to seeing the finished results Kruger

Yes Amos quite heavy. We also placed a magnet on it and it was magnetic. I used rasp to rough trim the blank as it is extremely hard on tools. I am making some new tools out of tool steel just for these blanks
