I have been trying out a variety of adhesives and testing them on a variety of joints. What has caught my eye is the new AV515 polyurethane adhesive from AV Syntec.
I tested this against the polyurethane from Titebond and found that it was significantly stronger. What really impressed me was that Syntec not only test their glues on Australian hardwoods but release the findings of their tests. They tested this glue on Brushbox, a notoriously troublesome timber due to wax extractives and it worked well. It also has a little give, unlike epoxy glues, and appears suitable for chair legs. It seems to be a great all around glue.
I would appreciate any feedback that others have had with this adhesive.
