A mate of mine who did all the veneer stuff on the new Parliament House used and still uses urea.
Nightingale a local company.
I thought Cascamite was a Casin glue.
That was wot they glued the mosquito bombers with.
It doesn’t like our humid climate and they fell out of the sky.
It also won’t glue Huon pine, George tried it on his debut piece in Canberra.
Didnt end well.

“Think you misread, Brian. I use epoxy, not polyurethane for veneering”
Oops! My apologies! Glad it’s not just me that finds PU messy for this type of work.
I must try to find the article from the US veneer specialist who uses polyurethane glue but from memory he didn’t give details on the method.
