My avatar is a photo of my Vanguard 6.
Sold it about 8 years ago.
Replaced it with a 1959 Morgan Plus 4 which broke the crankshaft about a month after getting it.
I had another motor from a 58 wagon, crank had the same number was standard size and crack tested ok.
I still haven’t got the Morgan going, it’s ended up a body off full resto.

The Vanguard what a great vehicle. I had a 59 wagon with electric over drive. It was sold with 200k miles and still going strong.
Sad about your Morgan, hope it's back together soon.
