Sydney timber tools & artisan show 2022
Who is going to the Sydney timber etc show this year at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse June 10-12?
I havent been for years, last time was the Olympic Centre and I wasnt impressed. Heard its pick up and I am very familiar with Rosehill Gardens and how well they put on events. I know way back they used to have a Ubeaut stand/spot for us guys to gather and so on.Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working. — Pablo Picasso

I received an email this morning to say that the Sydney show has been put back 6 weeks to the 22nd-24th July due to Candice having collapsed and now very unwell.
No doubt others will have received the same email.Tom

I was planning on going and will still be in Sydney that weekend visiting family so might make it out to trend Timbers as I’ve never been.
Thankfully I’ll be in Sydney the same weekend the new date that’s been announced so I’ll likely be heading to check it out
Keen to see what the new organisers do with the event provided they’re doing ok and recover from this health scare
Cheers

I am booked in to have a stand selling Purpleheart kits for making African Drums and doing demonstrations.
A bit of a bugger with it being delayed but not as bad as Candice collapsing.
Hopefully she will be fine and I'll see you all in JulyScally

Was hoping carbatech or a list of brands making an appearance would be available but can’t seem to find the brands specifically just yet. Can see the exhibitors but nothing as to whether any festool or other resellers would be around. Seems like a Sydney tool show bargain might not be around this year might just order online

Are we for sure certain it's actually going ahead??

As I understand things, it's political. The new owner of the shows used to work for Carbatec, and they are somewhat hairy-chested about not supporting it these days (perhaps she resigned from them to take on the shows?). Hardly surprising that they won't support it as they didn't even support their own sub-forum on here (one post, as I recall). Last time it was on at Rosehill in 2018 (was there a 2019 one too?) Carbatec had their own sale going at the store, which is only a couple of kilometres away.

I reckon two cancellations on the back of the previous years no go would just about kill the show for Sydney.
I wasn't super impressed last time it was on and I was a bit undecided about this year but wanted to give it another chance. I don't think I will bother in the future. Not really worth the effort, for me at least. Those were the droids I was looking for.

Agreed mate, i was seriously coming down with my trailer (had to pickup a machine anyway) but was going to take the chance to collect some timber and hang out for a bit but expecting to get a discount on any tools etc im just better off buying online. Dont think ill go through the 6 hr drive south for it
Would have been good to meet other forum members anyway, maybe some other time
Cheers,
Nathan
