Steel shed kit supplier- recommendations?
Hi All,
My DA is finally through council - yay!!
So now I need to finalise the supplier for my shed (12m x 9m "Aussie Barn" style)
The shed company I originally had a quote from has advised several price increases recently, so I sanity checked the costs with "Best Sheds" (I know, I know - they are noted for using cheap materials etc) and it came back at about HALF the price for the kit ($30k vs $15k approx). So now I am wondering who I should ask for alternative quotes. So many companies are advertising, its hard to get to a short-list!!
Any recommendations based on good experience most welcome.
Most companies seem to deliver Oz wide - however, in case it matters, the delivery will be to the upper Murray region - north-east Victoria.

I have a Best Sheds double garage 7.5m x 6.0m which I just recently added a 3rd bay to.
The original shed was a breeze and no problems with quality.
I have also had friends get their sheds from them as well and from a builders perspective, they are great value and very easy to deal with.
I don't get any kickbacks for recommending them. The person who never made a mistake never made anything
Cheers
Ray

Am going with a Fair Dinkum shed again.
First one was about 14 years ago at another place across town. Bought the 5x 12mtr garaport kit and built myself. Reasonably easy to follow the instructions.
Latest one is somewhat bigger in footprint and height. Like 30x 11 x 6mtr height. Their contractor is building this one.
The Eureka Sheds frame looks quite good, but is more expensive, especially when you start getting up in size a bit.
Helped the old boy build one from a kit through a different mob. Fair size at 23x 9 x 3.6mtr high. Firm put in the stirrups. From there built roof on the ground and temp bolted to stirrups. Single bolt to attach legs and had the whole show hoisted with 2 cranes. If you have the space, recon this is a good way to approach a larger shed. Hired a tow behind boom lift. If was to do again, would go a self-propelled. Temp brace, top hat the walls n clad.
Currently extending a shed, maybe I'm a bid of a 'shed tragic.'
Good luck with it.www.lockwoodcanvas.com.au
I will never be the person who has everything, not when someone keeps inventing so much cool new stuff to buy.
From an early age my father taught me to wear welding gloves . "Its not to protect your hands son, its to put out the fire when u set yourself alight".
