That's to be expected. If they were to give it away or sell it people might try doing things themselves rather than using their site.
Yes, it's sad for us that the information can’t be brought across. But things are always changing. People are looking for new ways of doing things. New technology comes out. Standards change. As time goes by the old material will become less of a loss. Our three forums are thriving and they will continue to build on what we have already. Eventually, ours will become as good as the old forum, then better. Don't worry about it.

Metalwork stands on its own, but has links to the others.
Metal Work Forums
As you can see, the renovate forum is part of the woodwork forum. I guess, that's only one, but the different link kind of helps keep it separated a bit. Though, having said that these two look identical. So, maybe just two with a filter of some kind to present different threads to people with different interests.
