Blade size?
What size blades are the best for cutting bandsaw boxes? Is a 3/16 4TPI the best all around size to use. I have never made a box before and plan on trying my hand at it and have seen a few people say they use this size. What is everyone using or recommending.
Thanks Richard

3/16" will probably be OK for the curved shapes and will be able to do approx 5/16" radius turns without too much trouble.
4 tpi is a very open gullet and may leave saw marks.
I use several different sizes:
3mm (1/8) or 4.7mm (3/16) for curves but with 14 TPI
18mm (3/4) 6 TPI for slicing the backs off the body & drawers

No Problems...if you have a smaller size bandsaw ......14" or less, you could get away with using a 12mm (1/2" ) for cutting the backs....should still get you a reasonably straight cut.
I am not sure whether 14" or less will be able to use a 3/4" blade. Depends on the make of machines you have in USA. I see the Grizzly 14" will take a 3/4" blade.

Is a 6mm blade OK for making boxes. That's the blade I have and I'm about to order a spare one.

I use 3mm at 14tpi for everything. Its good for tight radius curves and also for straight cuts and the 14tpi means it leaves the minimum blade marks.
