Asian Style Jewelry Box
This is another of the Asian style boxes that I have previously posted here.
The four posts all have small Dominos in the assembly and the box measures 300mm x 200mm x 130mm high.
The drawer and top section are lined with a crimson pig skin suede and the lid is hinged with 3mm diameter brass pins.
The lid insert is Rock Maple birds eye veneer.

Nice work, Ruddy! Am I correct in thinking the birdseye lid panel is quilted maple on the inside? Looks good.

Nice one.. I like all the different angles and shapes. It must have taken a lot of focus to make sure you didn't cut the wrong pieces [emoji848]

Thanks everyone for your comments ,The inside veneer is quilted maple that came from a big batch of veneers I have had for many years.
To make the corner legs I start with a square section longer than the final leg length and mark out where the Domino mortises have to be cut. After cutting the mortices the curved sides are drawn on the square pieces and after the first cut the off cut is taped back in place and then the second face is cut. I keep the offcuts to reuse when clamping and glueing the assembly.
I have had numerous requests for the plans so I have it basicaly drawn in Sketchup if anyone wants a copy. And my head I'd be a scratchin'
